About Us

Enjoy a relaxing holiday as far away from stress as it is possible to be.

Steve & Mark welcome you to Goetre Hall.

We have lived at Goetre Hall since January 2017 when we moved here from Buckinghamshire to embark on our new adventure and the next chapter of our lives.

Goetre Hall is a former farmhouse of the early C17, possibly incorporating earlier work, extended in the C18 and C19. It has been included as a Grade II* listed building as an important dated minor gentry house in Meifod and for the quality of the interior chimneypieces and panelling.

We feel lucky to have found such a beautiful part of the country to live, a friendly village with a real community feel, not far from the market towns of Oswestry and Welshpool for everyday essentials and Shrewsbury within the hour.

The cottages are situated within the private grounds of Goetre Hall and have been built on the footprints of former agricultural buildings.  We have utilised the original stone from these buildings; plus the cedar cladding was sourced and milled locally.  We used local tradesmen wherever possible as part of our commitment to the community as this is where we chose to start our new life.

Come and visit us soon and hopefully you will feel that you have discovered your perfect holiday retreat too.

Our aim is for you to leave relaxed and refreshed, ready to face life again.
