GOETRE HALL COTTAGES BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS

Bookings & Payments
A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the booking charge is required to make a reservation, and the remaining balance is payable 6 weeks before your holiday commences.
Bookings made within 6 weeks of the start of your holiday require a 100% payment.
This can be paid by Electronic Bank Transfer, Credit Card or Debit Card. On receipt of the deposit we will send you a booking confirmation. If you have not received this please let us know.
We are happy to hold a reservation whilst awaiting a deposit or full payment however if we have not received your deposit payment within 4 working days we reserve the right to release the booking (if we are unable to contact you by phone or email).
Goetre Hall Cottages only accepts bookings from persons over 18 years of age.
Prices
We reserve the right to amend advertised prices at any time. We also reserve the right to correct errors in both advertised and confirmed prices. At the time of booking you will be informed of the prices applicable. The price stated on the booking confirmation is binding.
Cancellations & Refunds
1) In the event that your booking has to be cancelled because Goetre Hall Cottages is put under Government Restrictions and has to close, and the period of closure covers your booking, you will be refunded in full.
2) In the event that your given address is put into Local/Regional Lockdown, rendering you unable to travel, and the period of restriction covers your booking you will be refunded in full.
3) Customer inability (or the inability of any, some or all of your intended party) or disinclination to travel to and stay at Goetre Hall Cottages for any reason. This includes, but is not limited to, illness (including Covid), a requirement or recommendation to self-isolate or quarantine, shielding, a call to jury duty, military service, incarceration, change in personal or work circumstances, family emergencies, travel delays, vehicle breakdown, and delays with public transport. These remain at your risk and do not give rise to a right to cancel or to receive a refund unless we re-let the property.
You are strongly recommended to take out suitable travel insurance to cover these eventualities. If you choose not to take out travel insurance, then you accept responsibility for any loss that you may incur due to your cancellation.
In the event of you needing to cancel your holiday we will do our best to re-sell it. If successful we will refund you the amount that the holiday resold for (less your deposit). However, you will not be reimbursed if the holiday is not resold and if the cancellation is made within 6 weeks of your arrival date. Holiday dates cannot be changed within 6 weeks of arrival.
4) Cancellations must be notified to Goetre Hall Cottages by phone and email and once received in writing we will confirm the cancellation request.
5) In the unlikely event of the accommodation not being available due to fire, flood or other unforeseen circumstances, Goetre Hall Cottages cannot accept liability or responsibility for any loss, including consequential loss, but the full cost of the booking will be refunded.
6) If we need to make a significant change to your booking we will inform you as soon as possible, this would be a very rare occurrence.
Arrival & Departure
Your accommodation will be available from 3pm on arrival day.
As we are a small family business we kindly request that you let us know your approximate time of arrival, so we can ensure we are here to welcome you to Goetre Hall Cottages.
Please check out by 10am on the day of departure unless previously agreed otherwise.
We can sometimes accommodate earlier check-in times, or later check-outs, provided you speak to us in advance.
Breakages and Damage
We understand that sometimes accidents happen so if you do break or damage anything we would ask that you report it to us as soon as possible, so that we can make arrangements to replace or repair it for the next guests. We will only charge for replacement in exceptional cases as we accept that a degree of wear and tear is to be expected.
Please note that you will be liable to pay us for any losses or damage to the property caused by you or a member of your party (except reasonable wear and tear).
Guest Conduct and General Considerations
Please leave the property as you would wish to find it.
Please keep noise to a minimum after 11pm.
Please behave in an appropriate and legal manner with. If any guest behaves inappropriately, improperly or illegally, (of which we will be the final judge on our Property) we reserve the right to ask the guest and their party to leave the site before the end of the holiday.
Please adhere to the Countryside Code at all times whilst on the property, or any surrounding footpaths.
General Safety
Only the tea lights and candles provided by us are to be used inside the accommodation and only in the lanterns provided.
BBQ’s are to be attended at all times. In certain circumstances we may request that you refrain from using the BBQ’s, for example in extremely windy conditions, during severe droughts or when hay has been cut and is drying in the field.
Please do not use flying paper lanterns on site or on the adjoining fields as these have been found be a potential fire risk and a choking risk to farm animals and wildlife.
Parents and/or guardians must supervise their children at all times.
We take every care to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable holiday, but cannot be held liable for any accidents, personal injury or consequential loss of property incurred on site.
If you notice that anything looks faulty and /or unsafe please notify us as soon as possible. You are strongly recommended to take out personal travel insurance for all members of your party in the event of an accident and your holiday being cut short. It is your responsibility to ensure that the insurance you purchase is adequate and appropriate.
No Smoking Policy
All accommodations and facilities are strictly no smoking. Anyone who smokes outside the accommodations and facilities is responsible for carefully disposing of their cigarette butts in an ash tray provided and not littering the surrounding area.
Litter and Recycling
Please dispose of all litter carefully in the recycling bins provided.
Please do not leave rubbish bags outside as foxes may tear the bags and spread the rubbish.
Complaints
In the event that you have any complaints about your stay, please notify us as soon as possible and we will try our best to resolve the issue as soon as possible.
Information & Accuracy
The information and prices shown on this website may have changed by the time you come to make your Booking. Although we make every possible effort to ensure the accuracy of the website information and prices at the time of printing, regrettably errors do occasionally occur. You must therefore ensure you check the price and all other details of your chosen booking with us at the time of booking.
Pets
Two well behaved dogs are allowed at Goetre Hall Cottages. If you have a third dog please call us to discuss.
We ask that you don’t allow dogs upstairs, in any of the bedrooms or on the furniture, and that they are not left alone in the cottages.
Privacy Policy and Data Security
We take appropriate measures to safeguard the information we hold from unauthorised access or improper use.
Any data collected during the course of this booking will be stored on our computer(s). With your permission we may from time to time contact you about promotions and offers. We will not share your details with any third party.
Discrepancies
In case of a discrepancy between these Terms & Conditions and any other literature, these Terms & Conditions shall prevail.
Validity clause
In the event that a court finds that a condition in these Terms & Conditions is illegal or void, the illegal or void provision will be severed from the remainder of the Terms & Conditions, which will continue to be valid and have full force and effect.
By making a booking, you agree that:
1. You have read these Terms & Conditions and agree to be bound by them.
2. You consent to our use of your information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
3. You are over 18 years of age.
4. You are authorised to agree Booking Conditions on behalf of all persons in the party.
5. You agree to take responsibility for the party occupying the accommodation.
